Fantasy Baseball I NEED SOME ADVICE

Posted on: January 31, 2009 10:49 am

I am going to venture into the world of Fantasy Baseball this year...and well I really have no idea how to draft.  See i have done the fantasy Football thing for years now and am pretty confident on that.  But I thought this year I would try FBB and i need some help.

I would like any advice you fine people of CBSSports could offer on this!  And i'm not sure yet if it will be a Yahoo or cbs league or how the scoring will be set up...if its possible for the scoring to be different like FFB.  So i guess i am asking for good general advice on this.

Thanks To you all in advance!

ROTTIE,

WEAR YOUR BLING BLING AND RINGS AND ALL YOUR SUPER BOWL STUFF TO THE DRAFT, THAT WILL HELP!!!Money mouth

seriously, How your will draft is just like Football, it depends if it is head to head or not.

how many starting pitchers are going to be rostered, how your outfield is roster (the position Out Field,

or each indivival outfiled position. ( I don't ever remember taking a Catcher in the early rounds)

Just knowing who the studs are going to be is going to get you competitve, to get ahead, you need to know what to draft in each round. I make a cheat sheet for batters, and then one for picthers, and stick to it. Our league is point heavy for each starting P (2 of them), so i will draft my 2 pitching studs before round 7.

The Sporting News has cheat sheets that are good, and will not steer you wrong.

You can enter Mock Drafts on ESPN, i think this helps me the most.

I usually am competive, so any questions, let know know, and I will try to help

Fantasy Baseball I NEED SOME ADVICE

Jp

Thanks for the advice...i was wondering which positions were like that, you know with FFB your always trying to get running backs early or a QB like Peyton Manning (well before this year) lol

I will hopefully know sometime this week what the points structure will be, so if you dont mind i will ask you some more when i do.

Thanks again
